Board & Train: your dog stays with me
Your dog lives in a home-like environment for the length of the program and trains every single day, in the house and out of it. I work the core fundamentals first in a controlled setting, then add distance, distraction, and duration until obedience holds up in the real world.
When the program ends, the handoff matters as much as the training. I show you exactly how to give the commands, what to expect the first week, and how to keep it. Then I stay available for the rest of your dog’s life.
OUR PROGRAMS
The Three Programs
Basic Obedience
2 weeks
On-leash
Your dog will learn:
Sit, down, stay in both positions, recall to a sit in front, place on an elevated cot, free, and leash walking with no pulling or jumping
Best for:
A dog who needs the fundamentals and house manners
Intermediate
3 weeks
On-leash
Your dog will learn:
Everything in Basic, plus heel with an automatic sit, and longer holds around bigger distractions off-site.
Best for:
A dog you want to be reliable out in public
Advanced Foundations
5 weeks
On-leash plus off-leash
Your dog will learn:
Everything in Intermediate, plus two weeks of off-leash work: recall to front and extended stays at a distance
Best for:
A dog you want to trust off leash

PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons: we train together
If you would rather do the work yourself, I will teach you how. We meet at Freedom K9, and you learn the handling and the timing that make commands stick. Most people are surprised how much changes in the first session once they see what their dog is actually responding to.
Single lessons are for a specific problem: jumping, pulling, door manners, a recall that has stopped working. The five-lesson package covers basic obedience from the ground up.
AGGRESSIVE DOG AND BEHAVIOR WORK
Aggressive dogs and serious behavior problems
Some dogs come to me with a bite history, resource guarding, or reactivity that has scared the family. That work takes a different plan and a longer timeline, and it is the one case where I will want to meet your dog in person before we go any further.
I will be straight with you about what is possible. Not every dog is a candidate, and I would rather tell you that up front than take your money and hand you back the same problem. If your dog is one I can help, this is the work I am best equipped for, and there are not many trainers in the Houston area who will take it on.
